Traces in the snow: on the trail of the wolf in the Beigua Park

Simple excursion on the snow to explore the environment of the wolf and follow its tracks , to tiptoe into its wonderful world: the snowy forest.

The best way to start a 2021 in step with nature? Follow those of the wildlife in the white snow! To discover the habits and the natural environment, the "home" of the wolf, we will take a guided excursion simple half day trip to the Beigua mountains.

During the itinerary the traces relating to the wolf will be searched and recorded directly by the hikers and the techniques used for monitoring the species will be shown. At 1:00 pm " wolf lunch " at a local accommodation facility with presentation of wolf biology and local data collection activities, LIFE WolfAlpsEU project and viewing of videos of specimens present in the area .

The activity is carried out within the context of wolfriendly tourism such as Steward of the LIFE international project WolfAlpsEU

Technical briefing at the start.

" SulleTraccedelLupo " is an Eco-Tourism and Sustainable-Tourism project born in 2016 for the study and environmental dissemination of the wolf species. The tours are organized on a monthly basis different itineraries based on environmental conditions, weather conditions and on the measurements made during the technical data collection inspections.

Recommended equipment: layered clothing (snow clothing in case of snow), gaiters (in case of snow) shoes suitable for trekking (waterproof shoes suitable in case of snow), snowshoes (ONLY in case of sufficient snow), car photographic.
